In January, 2023, I hired City 2 City Movers to move my family. I was hoping I’d be able to write a glowing review for this company about wrongs being made right, unfortunately however, I’m not. (Which is why this review is being provided almost a year later - giving them a chance to keep their word.)In January, 2023 they arrived (late) and I whish I never allowed them to touch my furniture! My furniture was in pristine condition before their hands touched my furniture. At the end of the move, just about EVERY piece of my furniture was damaged in some way. The owner of the company (Rashard Generette) even handed me a piece of my broken furniture. He assured me he would contact his insurance company and have my furniture repaired. He instructed me to take pictures of the damage and send to him (which I did). While he did have a repair company come out to my home to look at the damage; that's all he did! Since the day they came (in January), he proceeded to give me (and the repair company) the run-a-round regarding accepting responsibility and submitting a claim to his insurance company. I've called him multiple times and each time he provided another excuse as it relates to "the process." He indicated to me that he submitted the claim to his insurance company however when I asked him for the claim number, he said "they didn't give him one." (Common sense says when one submits a claim to an insurance company they provide a claim number in return.) When I said that to him, he raised his voice at me and yelled at me then he hung the phone up on me (highly disrespectful and unprofessional). I haven't heard from him or his supposed insurance company since the day he hung the phone up on me. Be clear, he said he’d cover the cost of repairs, in actuality - He didn’t cover the cost for anything.I called the insurance company he named, to attempt to check status on the claim, and the representative was unable to find any policy holder with the information he gave me for the company (Business Name, Owner name and Phone number). So consumer be warned! This company will damage your furniture, and not cover costs for the damage. Appears as if the company is not insured and bonded as they advertise. The owner is full of lies and empty promises! I was referred to them and this was the worst referral I’ve ever received. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

The movers broke many things in transition. We were promised that all damages will be reimbursed immediately. I have attached pictures of items broken. We have tried to communicate with Mr. Rashard on multiple occasions via both email communications as well as Text messages. We have not heard anything back till the date. As a customer, we paid more than what was originally negotiated.
