I would not recommend MND to anyone, especially not business owners who are actively growing their business. Mary advised us on a business restructure, filed the change incorrectly and refused to correct it. We found out months later that it had not been corrected even after we had provided them with the necessary information. There was also a significant turnover in staff during the time we were clients. This resulted in misinformation and the rushed submission of other documents as well. When you are running a business of your own taxes and accounting are things that you pay the professionals for with the hope of not having to worry about it. Unfortunately, this was not the case for us when working with MND Accounting.

BEWARE: This firm is not under the NC CPA Board of Examiners. They have refused to AMEND and CORRECT inaccurate returns from 2022 with the correct information. For several years, I have relied on MND Accounting for tax preparation services. My experiences had been generally positive until this year, when the circumstances surrounding my tax return, specifically its use in a business loan application, led to unexpected challenges. Change in Service Post Loan Application Disclosure: MND Accounting had been preparing my taxes for years without significant issue. However, this year, when I informed them that my return would be scrutinized for a business loan application, the firm's previously prompt and reliable service changed drastically. This shift in service quality, particularly at such a critical time, was both surprising and concerning. Unaddressed Errors and Delays: Upon discovering an error in my 2022 tax return, I promptly provided MND Accounting with the necessary information for an amendment. Instead of the expected swift correction, the process was met with delays. Over 100 days have passed without the amendment being addressed, which is out of character based on my past experiences with the firm. Questionable Financial Advice: In this year's dealings, I received advice to route earnings from my consulting work through my travel company, a suggestion that was not only unclear but also questionable in its intent and potential implications. Increased Scrutiny Leading to Service Withdrawal: The most disconcerting aspect of this year's experience was the apparent reluctance of MND Accounting to engage with the error correction process, a departure from their historical standards of service. This reluctance became particularly pronounced after the disclosure of the intended scrutiny of the return for my loan application. Concerns Over Reliability and Accuracy: The firm's hesitance to correct known errors, especially under the pretense of potential fraud or liability concerns, has led me to question the accuracy and reliability of the filings and guidance provided by MND Accounting over the years. It's disheartening to see a long-standing professional relationship marred by such issues, particularly when accurate and reliable financial documentation is crucial for my business operations and growth. In reflecting on this year's experience, it's clear that the challenges encountered have significantly impacted my trust in MND Accounting. My intent in sharing this review is not to cast aspersions but to express genuine concern and disappointment over the marked decline in service quality and professional integrity, especially at a juncture where precision and diligence were most required. Accuracy, transparency, and responsiveness are key pillars of trust in accounting practices, and I hope my feedback contributes to positive changes for future clients.
