We have lived in our Brookwood home for nearly 4 years and are very happy with it. During the build we hired an independent inspector who was surprised at the quality; the few items we did point out to Brookwood were fixed. We’ve had minimal issues with the house settling, mainly just a a few nail pops that we opted not to get fixed under the one year warranty.

To New Home Buyers timing is everything and when its time to buy a new home or have one built. I lived in the Charlotte area for about 10 years. I have rented from different leasing companies. It was time to buy a new house so we looked and could not find one that met are needs. So Luck we have it timing is everything and it ran into the right man at the right time a New Home means a lot and getting the one you are satisfied with from day one instead of buying one that is already built have it built go and see how it is being built. Wished I had not purchased home. While it has good insulation, I wish I had been at the house daily while it was being built to prevent a variety of issues that were unsatisfactory to my personal taste. Be sure your electrical panel is on drawings to be in garage and not outside of house. Be sure you place in writing that fixtures are to be all of one type for example brushed nickel or chrome. Be sure to inspect concrete thoroughly, be sure to inspect door alignment, and get a good inspection of electrical. Be sure if you are right handed that the dish washer is to the right of the sink. Lastly, get in writing that the land will be graded in such a way that water is not standing in the yard. Be sure to have in writing that gutters will be applies with drainage system dug to under ground.

We were looking at homes for about 6 months and never could find a decently priced home with a layout or yard we liked, or one that didn't need big repairs or would within a couple of years. We had met Craig Duckworth at an open house and decided to look at new construction. Brookwood had a nice lot in a great location and we picked the model we liked. We were able to make modification to the plan and then picked our upgrades. we met with Mark (the builder) and the process was explained to us on site. We had a few other meetings during construction and were kept updated on where we were in the process. Home was delivered about 6 months after construction started which was right in our expected timeline. We love our house and the lot it is on! I would recommend the Brookwood team and would not hesitate to use them if i were to build again!
