Toby makes some of the best modern homes in Charlotte. I purchased this home in 2020 and couldnt be happier with my purchase. I was told by electricians that my house is a TANK and would stand for over a hundred years the way it was built. Feel free to read more about that on Tonys website. The house is very well designed to maximize space. Toby has also been extremely responsive to my questions and replies usually within minutes to the hour. He has handled any minor concerns, even things out of his control and duty. These homes allow you to live in the future, and the future is now.

Toby Witte worked closely withe us to design the modern home of our dreams. We came to Toby with a set budget and he did an excellent job of accommodating our budget while also keeping the important aspects of the design in play. Toby has a wonderfully creative mind and is not afraid to design a plan which is forward thinking while also based in traditional concepts used by his predecessors such as Bauhaus and Frank Lloyd Wright. Toby does a great job of considering the environment in building a "green" home while also taking into consideration how to incorporate elements such as sun and moonlight into the interior of the home. His use of the many windows, strategically placed, has been a source of pleasure for us as we enjoy beams of sun and moonlight daily. Toby goes above and beyond to ensure the home is structurally sound and to ensure that proper drainage is top of mind. Toby's understanding of modern style is paramount is his design and we were thrilled with the interior customizations and choices of lighting, cabinetry, countertops, and flooring. Toby also designed a unique and cool landscape/hardscape plan for us which was carefully integrated into the house exterior to enhance the amazing highlights such as our cantilevered living space. We highly recommend Tony Witte, Wittehaus for your modern home design and build. We absolutely LOVE our home and you will too!

I highly recommend Toby and his team. We worked together on several high-end, modern European design houses. As a designer, he brings that certain European / German design feel to a project that cannot be translated. As a builder, he has a meticulous eye for detail and keeps his subcontractors on their toes. As a professional, Toby is everything you expect from an A+ rated builder.

Toby Witte of Wittehaus is a modern architecture marvel. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Toby in every aspect of the design and construction process. He is an immensely creative, bold and fun designer to work with. His passion for modern design radiates from his work. I have been highly impressed with Tobys ability to zoom in on every intricate detail, and zoom out on the holistic vision of the entire ensemble. The spaces he creates, their connection to each other, and the overarching composition are designed to evoke certain feelings. Feelings of security, feelings of grandeur, feelings of surprise and feelings of connectivity. I have learned a lot about good design, and modern design, from Toby. His work tells a story. From the subtleties he shapes in, to the bold cantilever projections, Tobys work is an artful expression of the client and his playful imagination.
