Dermatology & Laser Center of Chapel Hill

Came in as a new patient to have a spider angioma treated for cosmetic reasons. I had the area successfully treated via pulsed-dye laser several years ago at my previous dermatologist, but eventually it returned and needed treatment again. At my first visit, I showed my provider my chart notes from my last office so she could see exactly what was used. She recommended we instead treat the area via BBL laser. Not knowing anything about lasers, I agree, and several weeks later see zero change in appearance. I went back for a second appointment, saw a different provider who recommends the Halo laser instead. It seemed like there was a slight improvement after the first treatment, so I went back for a second round several weeks later, after which no improvement, and then the area returned back to full size. I returned to my original dermatologist in Raleigh and learn that BBL and Halo lasers are not usually successful at treating spider angiomas (especially BBL). They treated it with the pulsed-dye laser I had originally, and spot is now fully gone after one treatment. Frankly, the first provider I saw at this office did not seem knowledgable about this procedure/lasers. The second provider struck me as more experienced/knowledgable, but was ultimately still unsuccessful. They also cost 3x as much as my other office, which obviously ended up being a complete waste of money. Reading through other reviews of this office, I see a similar review about wasting money on laser treatments that did nothing. I can't speak to the other services they provide, but I am not confident in the cosmetic laser treatments being offered here.

THE BEST! I drive over an hour to come here. They are very professional and helpful when it comes to any needs you may have. They are very thorough. It is evident they care about their patients, not only with what is going on health/skin care wise but also on a personal level. The team asks adequate questions about your life to see how they can be sure your skincare needs are met. Its like social work and healthcare all in one. Highly recommend if you are looking for a dermatologist. Theres no bad provider on this team which makes for a very welcoming environment. Always a good visit! Thank you Dr. Adigun for creating such an amazing practice!!

I went to discuss various dermatological issues. I had been referred by my regular dermatologist to Dr. Adigun. She was not available for a really long time, so I was assigned to Diana Walker, P.A. (btw, it's still took 3 months to get to see her). Diana Walker was very good. We talked for a long time and she listened to my questions carefully. She provided lots of information, including printing out more information for me to take home to read. She also gave some general health guidelines which I found to be helpful. A (small) negative thing was that this place is not really in Chapel Hill (as the name suggests), it is sort of on the fringes of Chapel Hill, so it took much longer to get there.
