Bonchon Chapel Hill

Bonchon is one of those places that when you go once, you never go again. Right as I walked in the vibe was off. There was a lot of yelling and not much fooding. So I sat down and started looking at the menu. They do have decent selections Im not going to lie. But Im not gonna give them that point because my overall experience was horrible and disgusting. I ordered a chicken katsu and tteokboki for my food. Yes I know this is a korean fried chicken place however I was not in the mood. The food comes out in around 15 mins. It was absolutely disgusting! The chicken katsu was dry and I felt like I was chewing on a tire! Not to mention the spicy mayo was horrendous and very off-putting. The rice was also disgusting. Very overcooked and chewy! Felt like I was eating crushed up hard boiled eggs. And the worst part was the coleslaw. HOLY COW! So disgusting I wanted to throw up. I cant even describe how disgusting it was. The tteokboki was also disgusting. The cheese they put on there was probably the worst decision ever. It was so disgusting. Overall 0/10 would not recommend to anyone and DEFINITELY WOULD NOT GO EVER AGAIN!

Hot is HOT!! Need a warning on the menu. Taste good but my lips are still burning the next day LOL. Now that I know I probably wont order anything hot again from there. The dumplings and bao buns were great. I was disappointed in the kimchi, I do understand that good kimchi is hard to come by.
