Do not give your hard earned money or precious energy to this company. I am not the only one that has had problems with them but I will only review my experience. First of all, the owners are going through a nasty divorce-they flip flop back and forth, do not communicate, and because of their messy relationship are able to shift blame pretty consistently. Second, Ted the designer (of 20 years) is obviously not up to date on design trends. His work for me was out of touch, elementary, and cheap looking. I liked the cover he designed but that was because I took the photo he used. He also made a cover with a misspelled wordtwice. Clara is unwell. She is a sweet talker who made me think she was in my corner but always had an excuse for why she wasnt doing her job. Often blaming Ted. She lies, flip flops, and has texted me the most unprofessional texts. These two actually used my transparency about having bipolar (from my first published book-not with them) to excuse why THEY didnt do THEIR job. I paid 25% extra for a rush fee. When we were about 2 weeks away from the publishing date that was thrown at me, I expressed being worried it wouldnt be well done in that amount of time. They took this as do other peoples work ahead of mine and didnt complete my work. We had talked about an august publishing date and at the end of Octobernothing. I paid them almost 7,000 and it wasnt even close to worth it. It was a toxic environment. I hired a lawyer and his interaction with Clara was unprofessional (her) and all over the place. I cannot say enough about their lack of professionalism and human decency.

Wisdom House Books is a serious, professional, on target ...lets set you apart from the other 1,000 authors out there publishing company. Ted and Clara are a no-nonsense, listen to us we know what we are doing kind of publishing team! You will not find anyone better or with more expertise out there. If you are serious about getting your book written, edited, published, marketed and popular this is the place and this is your team that can do it!
