Went in to close my moms account after she passed away and was told the y would contact me in 3 days because they have to send it to their corporate office. Called them after 4 days said they would call me on Monday well here it is Friday and havent heard from them once. This bank is horrible to deal with. They are also not giving the lawyers the pay off amount for her mortgage so we can close on selling her house. Stick with credit unions we were able to walk in and close her accounts with in an hour and leave with a check in hand.

Beware that if they buy your mortgage, they will do everything in their power to avoid you making your first payment on time. You'll get many servicing transfer letters, which refer to separate secure messages with PIN and new account number (which can't be looked up by unique address, SSN, name and other info they obviously got with the loan), but those won't actually exist, and you'll spend hours on the phone trying to avoid exorbitant penalties, which is the actual business model.
