I called Geeks Alive straight out of the phone book on two different occasions in the past year.  Dave, began to troubleshoot my computer problem over the phone without proposing that he do a home visit and he did not require any type of payment commitment upfront.  He just started helping me which was an amazing thing to do.  He spent about 30 minute or more with me, exploring every possibility...and voila! Success! He was able to get my computer functioning properly both times (even after I had spent 1 hr on the phone with the TWC technician to no avail). Although I expected to be charged a fee, he simply referred me to his website and mentioned that if I wanted to contribute to the "tip jar", that his contact information was there.  I don't expect him to run his business free of charge, but thought that his willingness to help out in both of these instances certainly fosters a level of trust and confidence in him that will ensure that he gets ALL of my business moving forward.  geeksalive.com.
