Largent Custom Painting

Randy painted my cabin in September 2020 and it looked great when he finished but now, less than 8 months later the paint is flaking off down to the bare wood in many places. When I called to ask when this could be fixed he said he was too busy and it would be at least 6 weeks before he could come out. Then after calling him a couple of times to see if he could speed up the repaint he said he decided he would not repaint and would not honor the warranty. He said he would repaint but I would have to pay twice! He claimed it was not his fault that he used an old can of paint that I had given him for purposes of matching the paint color with the new paint he was to purchase (not to actually use). He said that one can of paint must have been bad (he claimed to have bought 30 gallons of paint to paint my cabin). He then claimed that the deck area was flaking off because he added anti-skid material to it which caused it to flake and alligator. This too was not his fault, he claimed, because he said he told me it was not a good idea to add the material. This was not true but, I thought, it was a very creative excuse for not honoring a warranty. So now I have a house that needs to be completely repainted in less than 8 months of having it painted by Randy who refuses to make good on his defective paint job. Gee, thanks!
