Botanas & Beer

I have tried this location multiple time, as they keep changing names. However, they always seem to have the same menu. The food is ok, nothing that would make you not want to eat it, but it's also nothing noticeable. On this visit I had the stake fajitas. The meat was nearly flavorless, and the plate was probably 90% onions. Honestly, I could probably do better at home with a store bought bag of frozen fajitas in the oven. The other two with me had the carnitas and the marinated chicken street tacos.  The carnitas and the rice, which was served were all similarly tasteless. The chicken tacos were apparently ok, but nothing impressive. Servers were able to understand us, and were not openly hostile but were not friendly by any means. All in all, it's not horrible, but definitely not somewhere I would recommend. If you want some good Mexican food around here, i would point you to "El Chapala". It may not look like much on the outside, but inside is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've come across. Prices are similar, and you get better quality and quantity its also right beside the highway, so it's extremely convenient.

Friendly service but only an ok dinner. Chips and salsa were ok, salsa is very tomato-y.  I had a cheese enchilada dinner which was alright, same with the tomato sauce. My partner had cheese enchiladas which she enjoyed.  Servers did not ask if we wanted more chips or salsa or drinks, or if everything was ok.

Horrible place to go. The restaurant is visibly dirty. Waitress was rude. A member of our party was incorrectly charged and then they pretty much called her a liar! The bathrooms were disgusting (my spouse said it looked like it had never been cleaned) and they are letting a toddler constantly run around the restaurant! One time a member of our family saw him running with a knife and had to chase him down to get it from him!! Unbelievable that this place is still in business.
