One star earned for having an organized website with dog photos and profiles easily navigable and a simple online application. Second star earned for reaching out within a reasonable timeframe to discuss said application and the fit of available dogs. After that is when the experience turns downward for me. I am in the process of starting a family and wanted a dog for my future children to grow up with. I applied for dogs online that I was told were family friendly and was encouraged to set up a time to meet them in real life, so I did. I was ready to move forward immediately but wasnt contacting until days after my meeting, via an email that said the dog (who again I was told was family friendly) would be staying where she was. When I inquired about adopting a different dog, I was ignored. It would seem that this discrimination was happening on the basis of my growing family, based on the wording of the email I received. I ended up going to the animal shelter and bringing home a 4.5 month old puppy instead. Ive had him 15 days now and am in the thick of potty training and looking forward to him growing up with my baby when they arrive in 2024. The bright side is this pup is a good fit, even though I got him elsewhere.
