The Lodge Nantahala River

This place is worth staying for more than a couple nights. The staff are so friendly and down to earth. The room was small but so cozy and perfect for 2 AND CLEAN!!!. I really liked that the wood burning pits were on one side of the Lodge but a cozier gas fire pit section was on the other end of the Lodge, if you didn't want to smell like fire wood and still enjoy a relaxing fire. The small kitchen area was a nice surprise. Stocked with dishes and a couple cooking pans. Next time we come, YEP will come again, I won't over pack as much as I did. We stayed 4 nights, which should be the 'minimum' stay so you can take your time visiting the area. The Lodge location is perfect for those planning to Raft and/or do Fishing. Bryson City is close by and the Nantahala River views were so relaxing. My husband and I went to Deep Creek trails for hiking. 3 pretty water falls and the trails are nicely maintained. With nice benches to stop and rest along the way. THANK YOU ALL at The Lodge Nantahala River. We will see you again next year

This place was gorgeous. A lovely setting overlooking the woods and a delightful cabin-themed room with wonderful attention to detail- for instance the drawer handles were shaped like bears! It was just perfect and a good location close to Nantahala Outdoor Centre and Bryson City. We struggled with check in, only because we came from UK, so didn't have phone signal or wi-fi. Luckily, another group of visitors were there and rang the owners for us so we could get the code to get in to our room. That's the only issue we had and probably was quite specific to our circumstances.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Super clean, well stocked, nice room. The grounds are very well kept with lots of tables, grills, fire pit (and wood). Very quiet and cozy place to stay. Rooms: Great decor! Kitchen area was very well stocked. All details were thought of. Safety: Very private and safe feeling. Food & drinks: Restaurant close by

The Lodge is fantastic.. deserves 10 stars!!!! Owners/hosts ...Jana and Brian are amazing... very friendly and accommodating... everything is perfect... exactly as the pictures on line.... can't wait to return to this new found home away from home Rooms: Spotless rooms .. tastefully decorated .. love the porch and rocking chairs Noteworthy details: Everything you need is supplied .. just bring food and drinks

We have stayed here twice and we will be back! The location is perfect. The rooms are themed and decorated perfectly, you get the feel of being in a log cabin, and we've stayed in plenty of those, but in a hotel setting. You have a small but well stocked kitchenette, comfortable beds, and a very clean and well executed mountain feel. The personal touches are so nice. The seasonal decorations, the complementary smores, and a host that definitely cares about your comfort. Shane is an amazing host, just sit by the fire with him one night and you'll know what I mean. My husband and I love this place, and now so do our friends. I can't recommend this place enough! Nearby activities: Nantahala Outdoor Center just down the road and directly across from the river. Noteworthy details: Outdoor kitchen area with Blackstone griddles and plenty of grills. Fire pits, and outdoor heaters.
