Shawn was amazing!!! If you truly want to really learn the basic foundations of Fly Fishingpresentation, presentation, presentation and have an AMAZING experience doing it then book a day with Orvis guide Shawn Isaacs. Ive included a few pictures of some of the huge fish I was able to land with two 1/2 day trips with him. I enjoyed catching those tanks but perhaps the best part of the trip was the many things I learned. Ive been fly fishing for a few years and thought I had an idea about how to do things. HoweverShawn refined my casting & presentation techniques he taught me how to manage big fish on the linethings Id never even thought of or heard before. I learned sooo much! Im fact once I got back home on local waters, my catch rate tripledand I landed my personal best Brown on 7x tippett. I certainly wouldnt have landed him had Shawn not taught me how to be patient and feather the fish appropriately. I thought I was a fly fisherman before but now after his guidance, Ive become a fly fisherman. Thank you Shawn!

My wife and I went on a float trip just below the Watauga River Dam in Tennessee. A beautiful river with lots of energetic, hungry fish. We both caught 5. Pat Stone was a very knowledgable teaching guide who made instructions/advice clear. We learned a lot. He also was very friendly and worked hard (rowing agains the current to perfectly position the boat) to let us be successful.

Our guides Shawn and Pat were incredible. Not only did they take the time to give us proper instruction before hitting the river but they did a great job of teaching techniques and a high level of insight between catching monster trout. They put us on several monster tanks our entire time on the water. Looking forward to my next trip out with them.

I had an amazing time fishing with guide Shawn, he put me on some monster fish. It was so much fun, my arm was tired from catching so much. We fished the private water, highly recommend. Cannot wait to come back
