Ballad Health Medical Associates Urgent Care

Be advised: You will be massively overcharged if you go here. I went in to get a tick removed, spent about 90 minutes in the waiting room, another 30 minutes in the private room waiting for the doctor/nurse (no service in the facility so I couldn't text my partner with any updates), and then literally about 7 minutes to get the actual tick removed. I was charged for a 30-44 minute visit, and my bill came to $851. Not only is that time completely false, but the charge for removing a tick is simply unbelievable and exorbitant. Almost $1000 dollars for a 7-minute procedure to remove a tick. Do yourselves a favor and go to the emergency room, or anywhere else at all.

We were on a ski trip up in Beech Mountain and my boyfriend took a pretty hard fall one night so we visited Ballad Health Urgent Care the following morning and had a really great experience. Amanda, Jenna, and Amy were all really kind, compassionate, and professional. We were able to get checked in, seen for x-rays, and out the door within an hour. Hopefully you dont have any accidents on the mountain, but if there are this is the first place I would recommend.
