Rhubarb

Very over rated for the food. Much better options in Asheville. Had high expectations going in but they underperformed at pretty much every dish. Service was good though.

We had a delightful time! Our server Smyly was attentive, friendly, informative, and made our dining experience extra special by acknowledging our anniversary. Pimento cheese hush puppies with comeback sauce were a perfect starter. Silky goat cheese burrata w/strawberries led to fresh tarragon and trout row with oozy egg yolk over asparagus. The black garlic half chicken has an amazing flavorful skin with juicy chicken but the star for us was the pillowy ricotta w/duck ragout. Thanks Smyly and Rhubarb for a lovely evening!

The food, atmosphere, and service are all top notch! The trout dish was out of this world and there's enough there for two people. They don't charge extra if y'all share dishes. Excellent wine selection at reasonable prices considering it is downtown AVL. Highly recommend it.

My friend and I had an outstanding dining experience at Rhubarb last night. Our server, Kelsey, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We shared the cheese plate, gnocchi, carrots and brisket dish, all of which were absolutely delicious. Their wine selection was great too. The atmosphere is very welcoming. We want to go back to try more of the menu- you cant go wrong here! Highly recommend.
