Over a year ago I called them for an estimate to repair my clear coat. Initially they didnt answer, instead they texted me back a few hours later asking how my car looked from 10 feet away. I sent them some pictures and never heard from them again. A few months after that my wife called them, wanting to surprise me by fixing my car. They told her theyd get back to her but never did. Finally a month ago I went by there in person with my car and spoke with someone there. He proceeded to tell me that my car was very old (2003) and was considered basically an antique at this point and asked me if I really wanted to fix up this car. Then he asked me if I bought it from an older person and asked me why I liked this car. Look I dont mind chit chat but I dont need someone giving me a history lesson on my car and then try to talk me out of maintaining it. I got the feeling he didnt want to work on the car because he kept making excuses. I finally asked him point blank how much and he told me $7000. For a basic, nos rust, same color, paint job. We are not taking about show quality here just a basic nice paint job. I asked him, so with that price surely youre taking off all the trim and sanding down almost to metal right? He said no, they would only sand until the paint stopped coming off and they would leave most of the trim on. I could not believe what I was hearing. I went to a few other body shops and every single one of them was cheaper by far. Im sure these guys do good work swapping out bumpers and fenders but their customer relations is terrible.
