Dont move here if you have a dog. They will charge you 300 dollars if they say they found poop that matches your dogs dna. No way of knowing if their sampling is correct, no slack if its the first time either. Robbery is what it is. Been here almost 4 years and never had an issue.. Done with this place.

Overall, I have enjoyed my time at Asheville Exchange. Maintenance is rather prompt as well. Joseph Jacobs in particular is a quick and personable maintenance man.

Where to start we moved back to NC from NYC and decided to live here for a year or two while looking for a house. That was one of the biggest mistakes we could have made. We had our first child while living here and since his birth we have had at least 3 fire alarms that required evacuation. I havent had that happen since living in a college dorm. From reading other reviews it seems our building is luckier than others, but the fact that it is happening in multiple buildings on property should say it all. During the fall we started having black hornets enter into our apartment (with a new born!). They sent out terminix to see where the hornets were coming from but never addressed the problem of an open crack in the door that was allowing the hornets to get into the apartment in the first place. After that, we started having packages stolen. It was clearly someone who either lived on the premises or worked at the apartment complex because it would happen every single time we had a package that was accidentally delivered and sat overnight (someone was clearly looking out and watching packages like this). When calling the office to see if there was some sort of solution or make them aware of the situation they did absolutely nothing. It took us calling multiple times and demanding an email be sent out to other residents to make them aware of the situation before an email was sent. And when the email was finally sent, it made us even more upset because it did not state what was actually happening, instead it had a blanket statement of increase in crime in the area. When we asked for a solution, their response was for us to purchase a ring camera for our apartment. They have cameras posted at the trash cans but refuse to put cameras in the hallways to keep their residents belongings and selfs safe. Multiple ring cameras have been installed by neighbors so clearly it was an issue. We had all of our Christmas packages delivered to a friends apartment in the area because that complex actually has cameras up and even though some of our packages sat there for days (this person works in Asheville but commutes from another house elsewhere in NC) we had zero packages stolen (by the way, that complex has the same amenities, is closer to downtown, and the same square footage apartments for less monthly rent). One of the reasons we moved into this apartment complex was because they had an electric charger for our car. We ended up not using it because the charger on the premises cost equally as much as gas. We also tried to come up with a solution to this problem with the front office, they also chose to not come up with a reasonable solution again. There are multiple electric cars on property with only one charger and when we asked if they could look into getting an updated charger there was no response until we physically went into the office to talk about it. After that, we were told that some of the other residents with electric cars either go across the street to the outlets to charge or park their car in the Ingles lot to charge it. That was the only solution given to us. Now if all of this wasnt enough reason to not live here, we just moved out and received our moving out statement. After living there for one single year they stated they had to replace the entire carpet. We had one spill on the carpet which was coffee in the second bedroom (which we fully acknowledge) but that could have easily been cleaned with carpet cleaner. We asked for pictures and the pictures they sent were of that exact coffee spill and then picture of where our furniture sat on the carpet? So I guess we were supposed to live with no bed, dressers, or night stands? They stated they pull the carpet back after every resident (and after finally reading other reviews on here) I would not expect to get your deposit back no matter what cleaning you do.
