Great diner with delicious breakfast, large potions, and friendly service. They change up the specials every weekend. We especially go when the chilaquiles are on the menu, but anything with the tomatillo salsa will be great. Prime hours on the weekend will have a wait, but not too long and worth it. Its tight inside, so not great for large groups. Cash only.

As much as I wanted to enjoy a pleasant dining experience at Pondfield Cafe, I left feeling thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. Despite arriving early and patiently waiting for over an hour, the level of service was shockingly poor. My companions and I watched in disbelief as other patrons who arrived after us were promptly seated and served, while we were left waiting without any explanation or acknowledgment from the staff. The lack of communication and attention to our needs was disheartening. Furthermore, when we finally managed to grab the attention of a server, the attitude displayed was indifferent at best. It seemed as though our presence was an inconvenience rather than an opportunity to provide quality service. Unfortunately, the subpar service overshadowed any potential enjoyment we might have had from the food, as the experience left a sour taste in our mouths. It's truly disappointing when a cafe fails to prioritize the basic principles of hospitality and customer satisfaction.
