Van Cortlandt Dental Care

Took my Mom there for an emergency on the holiday weekend, I was unable to reach her dentist. They got us in and thankfully were able to help her, able to fill a cracked tooth and seal it. All was taken care of in under an hour. The office was clean and pleasant. The staff very friendly and efficient, prices are reasonable for current standards. We have no problem recommending this group.

I am giving this place 2 stars for the receptionist. He has always been pleasant with me. DR. Gabrial and I had decent communication. (Oh so I thought) I will not write a long book. I will just say this... If you cancel and rebook your appointment the day you were suppose to come in. When she sees you again and you just happen to need Numbing done. She will take a q tip to numb your gums and will not wait for it to actually numb you. She will then stick you with the needle and cross her arms, when you are moaning in pain. She will look at you and ask if you want to do this. Moral of the story. She is a monster when she is upset. I think it had something to do with the fact I am a black person too. I know she wouldn’t dare treat her white clients in this manner. I was going to file a complaint against her with the insurance company but I decided to not do it. When I left her office, I kindly walked away with no argument. However, I was told to write this review just for others to be aware. Good luck going here especially if you are black. Oh and her crown work is terrible. If you need a crown done, don’t even bother. She messed mine up twice.

I recommend Dr. Diana Gabriel in the highest possible terms. Dr. Gabriel listens to your concerns, is very gentle with treatment and up-to-date in the latest dental options. The supporting staff always makes sure you are comfortable. Her receptionist, Annette, has a friendly manner and is always helpful and accommodating.

I recently went for a cleaning at Dr. Gabriel's office. She did a wonderful job! I usually hate getting cleanings, but her methods are painless and easy. I highly recommend if you have a sensitive mouth. The front office receptionist was also very helpful and quickly took care of any insurance questions or issues I had. My experience at Dr. Gabriel's was better than most dentists I have gone to in the area.
