Completely awful. We supplied documents on time for 2 tax returns. After calling him and emailing him many times as the deadline to file got closer, he finally filed but late. One return was then subject to late fees and interest and penalties. I made him aware that he the penalties were his fault for filing late and that he had an opportunity to appeal on my behalf. He stopped returning calls and disappeared. Don't waste your time, he is not reliable.

Incompetence resulted in an audit and he lied about filing my NYS return.  Filed my withholding in the wrong state and refused to cooperate.  Stay away from him, he is a terrible person.

I was audited because John filed my withholding in the wrong state. When I called him to resolve the issue he promised to follow up, but never did and was unresponsive for over two weeks which caused me to miss a deadline. When I requested the copies of NY, CT and Fed returns, he only gave me CT and the FED. Then he gave me the run around, and made bad excuses. I called NYS only to discover he never did one in the first place. I have over 5k in fines and interest because of him and he was completely unapologetic, took no responsibility and was dishonest.

John has been my accountant for nearly ten years now. What differentiates him from the competition is his ability to anticipate and then communicate upcoming tax consequences before they become a serious issue.
