Dental Concepts: Emanuel Andrew DDS

I am a long-time patient of Dr. Emanuel and appreciate his honesty, concern and explanations regarding the dental procedures he has performed for me. When necessary, he has directed me to dental specialists who have been top notch. He always calls a few days in advance of my appointments to remind me. He has always been prompt in returning my calls.

Dental services are good. But be for warned, if you have dental insurance with no copay. This dentist claims ignorance and makes you make a substantial copay. I have no copay for anything except orthodontics. One tooth was filled. Gave him proof I have no copay and still collected it. Saying maybe he'll give it back. Seriously what do I pay insurance for?

I went to Dr. Emanuel office for dental check up, the office is nice and clean, so i feel safe. I was due for dental cleaning, it was the best cleaning experience that i've ever had at the dental offices. Dr. Emanuel is a caring professional, i Always know I am getting great dental services there. I highly recommend him.

This would have been my second time seeing this dentist. Since retirement my dental insurance has changed and finding a new dentist is quite the challenge, especially one that takes a DMO. I chose Dr. Emanual because he was close by. He has no staff that I am aware of and answers his own calls or returns your call if you leave a message on his answering device. My first visit with him went ok. All I needed was a checkup and cleaning. Not much to write home about but the office, which is located in a section of a house, is something that was left over from the 1960's. He has one exam room which has a dental chair which is just as old as the house. It is well worn and tattered and definitely has seen better days! My exam and cleaning were completed without much ado. Fast forward to today when I had an appointment for my 6th month exam and cleaning. I arrived a couple of minutes early and tried to walk in. The door was locked so I knocked (his doorbell is disconnected). No answer, so I knocked again. No answer. This continued for 5 minutes until I got discouraged and went home. Seriously, what kind of dentist does this? Certainly not one I will go back to EVER!!
