Lauren, I do not blame you for being upset that your new 14 month old walkway looks 30 years old, but our company was not responsible in any way for its surface damage. As far as the quote is concerned, you approved the estimate over the phone and sent us an email reading that your husband said to go ahead with the $ amount, and we were all in agreement. The only thing that was different was an added approved front step. We had a hard time giving you a date to start the project because Dan was in and out of the hospital and at Dr offices because he had open heart surgery seven months before, as we told you. The only correction that was made to your walkway was the design at the left of the step, it curved into the end of the step and you wanted it wider. It was not crooked. Before we left your jobsite on September 15, 2022, the change was made immediately. You sent us an email reading...."I still can't believe that's our walkway!!! It is absolutely gorgeous and so massive. It reminds me why I wanted you to do the project in the first place". Your walkway was beautiful, just as you emailed. Nothing we did in September, when we installed your walkway, lead to any problems. We received an email from you after winter, that there were holes in a few of the pavers and the sand in between the pavers was soft. We had never ever seen this happen to pavers before, but we agreed to replace the 3 holy pavers and wash out & replace the polymeric sand in between the pavers anyway and that was done 2 weeks after your email, on 5/27/23. We received another email from you that you had holes in more pavers. Again, even though we were not responsible for the holes in the pavers, we replaced them anyway 2 weeks afterwards, on 7/5/23. The paver manufacturer, Belgard, was contacted and the representative said he would work with you. I am completely sure that our company constructed you a beautiful walkway and we definitely were not responsible for your walkway problems, but we have bent over backwards to satisfy you by replacing 7 pavers and the polymeric sand; the rest of the walkway pavers would have to be addressed by the manufacturer. We replaced the pavers with exactly the same color, Sable, as the originally installed pavers. You should be looking at the sealer contractor that twice washed and sealed your walkway. Your emails do end up in our junk mail, but even then we responded to you immediately after reading them. I never thought that you were unreasonable, I really hope Belgard can help you.
