An absolute nightmare. normally we would bring our couch cushion covers to a dry cleaner but being that we wanted to have our 9'x12' area rug done as well, we thought it may be easier to use a company that promised 24 hour turn around, using clean chemicals, as we had Easter weekend planned at our new home. They arrived late to our house, wearing their shoes on a rainy day onto a cream carpet. I assumed thst this was because the carpet would look so good after the cleaning we'd never know. they were unable to remove the stain on the carpet amd left the fibers frayed wheere they were cleaning and left dingy colored streaks throughout the couch, including the arms, sides and even back in additionto the cushions. The entire place smelled for the next 2 days. as we waited the 48 hours for the carpet and couch to dry, we called to ask how long we could expect to wait for the smell to subside and couch and rug to be dry and dingy-ness and streaks to be gone from the couch, they said another day or so. after waiting another 2 days the couch and rug looked worse than when they originally arrived. when my wife called to speak with someone the second time, they assured the owner would return the call. the next day when the owner called he was demeaning, argumentative and combative claiming that the process to clean the couch, in house, wasn't what the couch needed and they'd have to bring it in to their shop to clean it because the couch was so dirty from "dust mite feces and animal dander" and assured hisnworkers did wear boot covers when they came in. although this felt like an attack and claimed we were lying and didn't quite make sense being that we regularly had the couch cleaned by dry cleaners, we accepted the offer to have the rug and couch recleaned at their facility and hoped for the best. fast forward two weeks later after the couch was finally returned and it looked minimally better and still worse than when they originally arrived to clean it. the owner explained that it was the best they could do. I compared it to bringing a suit to a dry cleaners and they said it may look worse when it's done then I wouldn't give them my business. he said if he turned it into insurance then they would tell me the same thing and it's not their fault. as a business owner myself, I would never leave a negative review without trying all other avenues first but none of those attempts were successful. I ended up paying for my couch and rug to be worse than when they arrived and insulted by the owner claiming it was our fault and tried to make it see like the cleaning process and science was too complicated for me to understand why it wouldn't work. there are many cleaning companies in utica and if you value your things then I would avoid ABC Chemdry at all costs. I can provide before and after pictures for anyone who is even considering them.

Only reason for not one star is my small paint stains are gone other than that 1. My carpet was not that dirty but it came back with different: It did look clean but after vacuuming there were layer of tiny dust that caused the stickiness. My theory is they are cleaning every carpet on same pool and there share the dirt. 2. I measured my carpet and asked for the price over the phone. When I was picking it up priced doubled as well as measurement of carpet calculated one feet extra! After making my argument and stating that I know and measured my own carpet they lowered the price but not same as first price they already gave. 3. Allergies and dust reaction increased in home after cleaning already clean white carpet. Simply next time I decided to clean my own carpet or find cleaner and honest place.
