I've been on this waitlist since August of last year. I don't recommend this daycare. They prioritize the federal employees that work in the building. There will never be an opening for downtown residents. The waitlist fee is not refundable so you're basically giving them free money. I was told I was not going to see an opening until 2024. I'm extremely disappointed with the unprofessional and unfair process.

Everyone at Children's Beginnings is wonderful. They take great care of my son and I appreciate all that they do. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for child care.

I thought this was going to be a fun and safe place for my daughter. Not only do they have a very high turn over rate (4 different directors and over 27 different "teachers" within 3.5 years) they treat children as if they are just another number. My daughter was treated so cruel by one of the directors when my mother brought her in to drop off on the day of their Halloween party, she was all dressed for Halloween and excited and they told her she wasn't allowed in the center because I had an overdue bill of $35. Both my mother and I had to take time from work and it was just constantly hassles like this. They bombard you in the morning while dropping off your child and always made me late to work. They would lose children outside constantly because of the disorganization. There were several other children that were physically harmed and bullied by "teachers" at the center so much so that CPS got involved a number of times and people were always being fired. But these poor children are left scarred for life. They are the worst care providers, with no compassion or emotion. They would hire people wothout even checking their background but promise you that it was their procedure to do so. One man was fired on his second week because it was found that he had a felony on his record. Worst decision I ever made in my life. The last 3-4 years have been so overwhelming and stressful due to the poor procedures and attitudes I've had to deal with. I actually QUIT MY JOB and now stay home with my daughter. I would highly advise anyone who is thinking of taking their child here to please re-consider. Don't do it!! Take them somewhere they will be happy and feel included and safe!

My son has been enrolled at Childrens Beginnings for almost 2 years. Starting from the beginning, Laurie and Meagan were extremely professional, responsive, and welcoming. The minute we walked in to the center I immediately fell in love. The school is absolutely beautiful inside and is kept immaculately clean. The children in the center are absolutely adorable, but more importantly are very well behaved and their parents are friendly as well. Everyone at the center welcomed my son with open arms and were patient and caring while he made the transition in to his new school after a big move. The teachers update the tadpoles app daily with pictures, videos and a daily report. It makes leaving my son at school so much better when I receive routine updates directly on my cell phone . The teachers have become like family to us and my son cant wait to go back to school on Monday. The school also offers a variety of enrichment activities for kids including phonics, soccer, etc. my son participates in phonics and loves it! Weve seen tremendous growth since he started that program. The school also serves professionally catered food that is nutritious and not stereotypical kid food. My son loves the fun activities that are planned throughout the year and during summer camp. He loves to look at the calendar to find out what he will be doing. In regards to some less fun topics, the center is extremely communicative in regards to incidents, illnesses, closures, etc. I feel that they are the perfect balance of being cautious when necessary but also knowing that sniffles and coughs happen. I have been alerted to contagious illnesses within the center that my son never contracted, even though he was in the same room as some of the sick children. That speaks volumes to their sick policies and cleaning procedures. Lastly, during the recent COVID pandemic, I felt as though the school kept everyone updated and made the appropriate decisions in regards to temporarily closing and reopening with the childrens health and safety being the number one priority. As a nurse practitioner I have been very impressed with the continued attention to health and safety measures taken at the center. My husband and I are thankful every day for this amazing facility which is truly the best place for our son. I would highly recommend to any one else without reservation.
