Sitting here at Burried Acorn after just finishing my 2nd beer and buffalo chicken flatbread. Never have I have felt the need to review right away, but I need to rave. Living just 5 minutes away, this will be my newest go to. The beers are amazing and the food is just as good. The recomendations from the bartender was spot on, almost as if he knew my tastes. Well done Burried Acorn.

Three times Ive gone out of my way to stop by to support a local business and they have been closed prior to 8pm when stated hours are 10pm or later. This last time was the last straw. It was 7:40pm, and the door was locked. Some people behind the bar were looking out at us but no one came up and said anything. I even checked Instagram and Facebook right then to make sure we didnt miss anything. I stood outside the door for probably 45 seconds looking at social media and nothing. Hard to want to give a local business my money when they lock up so early on a regular basis. There really isnt any excuse for it. Put a note on the door, social media, etc. Thats not to say I have not had good times at this location, thus not just one star. But Im not going out of my way to go back. Ill give my money to business that wants to be open during their hours and communicates exceptions. Its just too hard to schedule meetings or get-together at a place that may simply elect not to be open. Its not worth the hassle when there are so many other options in an increasingly competitive craft brewery scene.
