About
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center

The Salvation Army has more no-fee rehabilitation facilities than any other program in America. For more than 100 years, The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers programs have offered spiritual, emotional, and social assistance to those who have lost the ability to cope with their problems and provide for themselves. image This particular Salvation Army is overpriced, and exploits the "volunteers" who are required to work there as part of the rehab program. They're not allowed to talk to each other, other than to ask a question on behalf of a customer. They can't even say "how was your weekend?" or "good to see you" to another conscripted "volunteer". I don't like the pseudo military structure, and the national leadership is overwhelmingly white men, though the staff seems overwhelmingly otherwise. Hmmmm. I have shopped Salvation army since I was in my teens, but the one on Erie boulevard is particularly overpriced. There are better options locally at any of the thrifty Shoppers.
