Eye Exams at PV Stony Brook

The eye exam felt rushed and wasn't thorough. The doctor provided me with only one trial pair of contact lenses, which unfortunately did not allow me to see clearly. It seemed the doctor was more interested in conducting a quick exam and encourage the purchase of glasses from their store.

I always have a good experience with Pearle @ Stony Brook. Everyone is friendly and very attentive. I would happily recommend Pearle to anyone I know.

I have been coming here for years to get glasses and sunglasses. I have an amazing vision plan that covers 100% lenses and frames (designer included) and have never paid anything towards them. This year I went in as usual, picked out my frames and was told that they were not covered under my insurance. I pulled up my coverage pack on my phone and double checked and they are, I have no exclusions as part of my benefit. The manager came over and said it was my plan. I called my insurance in the store and was told that Pearle Vision was wrong. The manager finally admitted that he would not apply my insurance to designer frames (illegal) to which he replied he could do what he wants because theyre a franchise. I reported them to my insurance. I went over to pearle vision in Bohemia and had the best experience and got the glasses I wanted for $0.
