I have been going there for decades and over the years the practice has changed. It was bought up by Stony Brook and it is not the same practice that I started with. Yesterday was very disappointing. I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment and I checked in and filled out the paperwork for medical history. I was sitting in the waiting room patiently and keeping myself busy. I noticed it was 30 minutes past the time of my appointment and decided I would give them 5 minutes more as they never have done this in the past. Next thing someone comes out of the side door and asks me my name. Told her and a few minutes later the hygienist asks me to come back. But while she is doing this, she is berating me saying she doesn't know if she has time to do this and that the front desk told her that I never checked in. I let her know that this was false and that I had checked in. However, it didn't end there, she continued to state that I should have gone up to the front desk and not sat there for 30 minutes. She stated she had been waiting in the back for me to arrive. Not sure what she was doing during that period of time that she couldn't have come up. But the whole experience was unprofessional, and there was no apology for making me wait. I will no longer be going to the practice, I had been thinking of transferring to another practice but wanted to see how they were a few more times with the new staff, but this solidified it. It's a shame though, used to be great. I know mistakes are made and I wasn't upset or angry, but I was annoyed when the blame was being put on me. This should be addressed.

Ive been going to this dental practice for over twenty years. Always have a wonderful experience and everyone is very pleasant!
