New Dorp Christian Academy

When I first began searching for the perfect school that my daughter could attend, I am beyond grateful to have found New Dorp Christian Academy in my Google search bar! As a public school teacher, I wanted my daughter to be in a small Private Christian faith based school where she can focus on her studies and continue learning about God. I am very serious about all of my childrens education and I expect nothing but the best for them. Upon doing my research I found that this school offered a lot of what I was looking for: -Small class sizes, best for meeting students needs -Abeka, which is a high quality curriculum that meet Common Core requirements -A nurturing environment located in a safe neighborhood -Great school staff that make your experience a positive one. Now to be truly honest I first doubted sending my baby to school due to COVID, but upon speaking to her Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Cimino during orientation, I was convinced she would be in good hands. They have protected my angel the best they can and I have to say, best part is, everyone knows my daughter by name. It really is something when your child is cared about, she cries when she cant go to school and wakes up excited to get ready for it. It speaks volumes when all you hear from your child is, Mommy, I just love New Dorp Christian Academy! I cannot imagine sending her elsewhere!! Now I know this is very detailed but, this is meant to help those who are looking for answers like I was when I first started searching I appreciate that students wear uniforms, it is part of developing well rounded children. I also do love how they have days and weeks where they allow students to dress down and be expressive. Kindergarten students are learning material that my 2nd graders are being introduced to. She is currently learning the value of coins, telling time, lots of Phonics and best of all Bible verses!! I hear they will be learning script in first grade, SCRIPT?!? I am ecstatic over this!! It is SOOO worth it!!! I cannot wait until my other two babies become of age to put them in NDCA!!! Lastly, pray over it if its meant for you and your family, God will allow it.

Not only is it a great church, the school is outstanding. Academics are above standards. Faculty are fantastic and friendly. The school makes you feel so welcomed. Its a little Hidden gem. Plans are being made to add an extension Price to attend are affordable. If you want your child to have a quality education with christian faith, this is the school for you.
