My children have been part of this practice for over 5 years. Providers are very knowledgeable, friendly staff and they have incredible accommodations for what you need. My wife was a patient herself growing up, so now our kids are patients and it is truly an honor. The bed side manners are great. We really are lucky to have such amazing personal care, but providers and staff who care. Christina the PA we have seen and loved very much. Dr. K we have seen many times before and kids also love to see him. Bring your kids to this practice and any provider in Brooklyn or SI office will make you feel right at home. There is a wait. But when you are waiting, your waiting for the right reasons.

Even though I appreciated the doctors in this office, after long consideration I've decided to switch to another pediatric office because I found the bedside manner of this office completely unacceptable. I'm going to share a few examples. 1. When I came in with a baby who had a fever for a few days and we couldn't sleep, the doctor met me with a remark that we are still celebrating with yesterday's clothes. It's not an appropriate comment coming from a doctor. 2. When I texted to get some specific information about my baby, Doctor Vayners wife and the receptionist for this office, Jenny, responded about my copay, ignoring my message. It would have been appropriate to remind me about that after responding to my request. 3. Jenny complained multiple times at the front desk about how annoying she finds parents texting her, which is also unprofessional and inappropriate. These are but a few of many examples I could provide. In case you are like me and you think to yourself I can deal with an unprofessional receptionist as long as the doctors are good, here is where I will once again urge you to reconsider. The only phone number you are provided is with Jennys. (The office number automatically forwards to her private phone.) I have been with this practice for a while and have yet to have any of the doctors provide me with their numbers or a number which I could contact them directly in case of an emergency. So she is the gate keeper. Second, Doctor Vayner (who is a very good doctor) is only at the Staten Island office perhaps at best, once a week (Thursdays). Doctor Christina is a decent doctor but currently there only twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays - Thursdays to cover for Doctor Vayner). There is one other doctor there but since this is called Doctor Vayners Office, I would hope the main doctor would be there more than a few times a month. You want to find a practice where everyone is courteous, considerate and will be a pleasant experience for all involved. You want your doctors to be knowledgeable and accessible. Especially if you are already stressing about your children not feeling well. Ultimately the decision is yours. However, I would strongly suggest another office.

I would never trust this doctors office with my child! I was waiting to go to my 3 year olds therapy upstairs from his practice and his wife Jenny tried to run my self and my three year old over with her car because she wanted to park in front of the steps! not even a driveway. I mean she literally revved her engine and pulled up onto the grass. Yelling I told u to move! Who knew she parks on a sidewalk where people walk on richmond ave! If I didnt jump back Id most likely be in the hospital with my child. Police report has been filed I hope they get her for attempted aggravated assault with a vehicle! I dont understand how you could be a pediatrician and not care about the well-being of a three-year-old & you would not think twice before trying to run them over. I will also be putting in a complaint with the board of ethics & northwell health. The doctor should take responsibility for his wifes reoccurring actions at their practice. She has no regard for people & responds with try to get me fired! I pray this woman finds some grace in her life.
