I was seen by Dr.Kolesnikov at RUMC Hospital early January, to say the least he has turned my life upside down in such a short period of time. Dr.Kolesnikov advised me to leave the Hospital with my newborn son when his Jaundice had reached dangerous levels. Dr.Kolesnikov stated his levels would only rise without treatment, when I asked if we should extend our stay he advised me that we will be fine if we follow up at the Pediatrician the following day. I listened to the Doctor's advice and followed up with the pediatrician the following day. My son's Pediatrician took one look at him and sent us right back to the Hospital. Instead of being in the Maternity Wing now my newborn was subjected to everyone sick in the Emergency Room the entire day without treatment, finally during the night we were switched to Pediatrics where once again everyone is sick. The nurses in Pediatrics were amazing and we were in great care however, the patients in the rooms surrounding us had RSV and Covid. During our stay now we were subjected to sickness with a newborn, and at not even a week postpartum healing from a Cesarian Section was sleeping on a broken chair for our week stay. While staying here we contracted Covid and spread it to our baby at home as well. To say the least the most amazing time of my life turned out to be the most stressful, painful, and exhausting. Dr.Kolesnikov's poor action to send us home caused countless awful of events to follow after. Bottom line, trust your gut and not a Doctor who shouldn't be trusted.
