The Guirguis Obstetrics & Gynecology Group

I drove 2 hours for my 10:15AM March 31st appointment from upstate NY and they were closed. The receptionist that handles the Zocdoc appointments should be more responsible and do their job properly. They were the only GYN available today according to the app Zocdoc and I have a severe infection that needed medical attention which is why I was willing to drive so far. I ended up parking my car in Staten Island and taking an Uber to the doctor because I couldnt take the pain anymore while driving. Coming here was a complete waste of time, tolls and $80 on Uber. I probably was better off going to a hospital near me.

I am so frustrated with the wait time with this practice. I often get here early and still have to wait sometimes over an hour, once it was 2 hours. People that come in after me get called before me as well. Then once you get in the times with the doctor feels rushed. Not happy at all.

I had an iud in place on Thursday. and been in pain ever since. Was prescribed gabepentine which is used to treat neuropathy? On call doctor heather jones was a useless cow.. who told me just keep taking Motrin and then Try to see somebody on Monday!! I the. Went on Monday completely different doctor she tells me its in place but for the pain Ill prescribe naproxen. I begin to tell her that is one of the meds I posted that I took and it didnt help.. she proceeds to tell me that this is a stronger version.. I get a phone call from my pharmacy that its not covered because its over the counter. Which means she prescribed exactly what I told her I was taking but didnt work.. I called the office again on Tuesday with no doctor in sight and just a message left by me which I didnt get a response to! Also the on call doctor not once, but three times could NOT be reached... your on call thats your job! I called yesterday left yet another message with no response. IN addition to my pain I now have a fever.. they are absolutely horrible there!

Dr. Pete is amazing! He goes above and beyond to make his patients feel comfortable and at ease. He is very patient and takes the time to explain things and address any questions and concerns you might have. He is extremely knowledgeable and an overall great physician. Even after moving to NJ, I make the trip back to Staten Island. Guirguis Obstetrics is the absolute best!!
