I saw this Dr once, he was very nice but I was his first patient of the morning I was told to come 15 minutes earlier than my appointment time to do paperwork. The Dr came in 20 minutes late to his first (me) appointment and was brief and quick. I ended up w almost $800 bill from him as he claimed he removed ear wax from my ear that it never happened that cost supposedly $270? And all he did was gave me antibiotics (which did nothing) and a $800 bill, never going back there, their payment plans are at least $100 per month to pay so I rather find someone else.

I saw the doctor in his New Hyde Park office but since there were not reviews there, Ive decided to post here as well bc of how unprofessional my experience was. I made an appointment due to my tonsils being enlarged for some time. I took time off from work to make this appointment. His staff was very welcoming and the wait was not long. When he came into the room, after speaking to me for less than one minute, he informed me that due to COVID rules, I wouldn't be allowed to remove my mask for him to exam me. I work in healthcare and have a full respect for the COVID regulations however at no point was it communicated to me that I needed a negative COVID test before seeing the doctor. On top of this, he prescribed me medication (which I didn't pick up) and they billed me for one of the highest billing tiers possible according my insurance company. His office was extremely unresponsive in addressing these issues with me and eventually offered me a 10% discount or I could file for hardship. Neither of these felt right in my opinion, this was about proper care, communication and being billed properly. I will not be returning and do not recommend.

I heard good reviews about this doctor, so I decided to give him a try. I have had bad experiences with doctors acting like they know everything and writing everything off as anxiety and like they know better than you do about your own body. I was hoping he would be different but unfortunately, he is just like what I previously described. I have had active EBV for three years and my tonsils have been enlarged (larger than what is usual for me) since then. I wanted to make sure that it wasnt anything more serious that was causing this, so I decided to go to this ENT. I have personal trauma that causes me to have an aversion to anything that could make me gag. I simply needed to check off that my lymph nodes felt fine and that my tonsils didnt look concerning. Seems quite simple right? Nope. This doctor walks in and says, so I hear you have mono. I said no, I have active EBV. He says very rudely, yeah thats the same thing. and I did not feel like fighting but it is very much NOT the same thing wouldnt an ENT know this? At this point I realized he is not as educated as he carries himself. Then he feels my neck to feel for lymph nodes popped out and my mom asked him to check for anything over the thyroid since my best friend just had thyroid cancer and she only found out because she had to go out of her way to demand a doctor to look. He snaps on my mom and says, Im getting to that. Then he goes to look at my tonsils and he says everything looks good but tries to put a wood stick down my throat and I politely refused and verbally said no thank you I cant do that today he tried to talk over me to explain how it wont make me gag and I just kept saying no thank you and he raised his voice and said Well are you even gonna listen to me?!while trying to put the wood stick in my face. I continued to politely decline due to the trauma I mentioned before. He was visibly angry that I refused it. I told him that I would much rather that he looks at my tonsils without using the stick and I felt that shouldnt be a huge issue considering the fact that he almost made me feel stupid for coming in because he said everything looked completely fine. He continued to ask me if I have anxiety and told me that it must be anxiety that causes my tonsils to present this way. He also mentioned to my mom how he has five kids and they each always have something going on. Implying that me coming there today was just because of stuff I made up in my head. He then tries to put the camera up my nose and down my throat and was angry that I refused that as well. My mom asked him if it was necessary to use the camera because again, he would say that theres absolutely nothing wrong and it is in my head, but then get mad that he cant use more tools to look closer? Shouldnt you look closer if you have more of a reason to? Bottom line is, me as a patient refused the tools because of trauma, and he could not respect that or hide his anger that I was even there. If you would like an arrogant, know it all, and completely dismissive doctor, this is the place to go. I have a hard time putting the words together that can describe his demeaner but unfortunately a lot of people have this kind of experience with doctors, so you probably know exactly what I am talking about. It is time for these doctors to realize they may not know as much as they think they do, and to stop treating patients differently because they were challenged. A medical degree isnt a rite of passage to treat others like they are less than you, it simply means that you are educated in the medical field and should be open to the growing research that constantly changes the things you may have learned 50 years ago. Nobody should be treated this way and this type of attitude in the medical field needs to stop.
