New York Comprehensive Medical Care

Maybe the doctors are good I wouldn't know. I called and made an appointment; drove 30 minutes to be told they don't take my insurance. They are listed as providers through my insurance but according to the billing supervisor, she never heard of my plan so they didn't want to take it. It's BCBS from another state but all you do is bill your local BCBS like every other facility I've been to on Long Island. Never had this issue before, and neither the billing department or receptionist wanted to listen to my insurance agent that they were in network. Went elsewhere and didn't have an issue.. shocker.

Dr. Nayyar is fantastic , always able to Diagnose me when Im sick. Highly recommend.

It has taken me quite sometime to be able to discuss what i had gone through nearly 3 years ago. In May of 2020, I was told I was in 3rd stage heart failure and my kidneys were on the edge of failing as well. If renal failure did occur, my heart would NOT have been able to handle ANY interventions. Going to the hospital at that time was nearly a death sentence. I was more or less, a Deadman walking. If it weren't for the quick actions of Dr Pilip and Dr Nayyar, I wouldn't have survived the weekend. Both Dr's instantly got me the best medications and arranged for the proper monitoring that I needed to instantly correct my proteinuria (my highly overactive kidneys) and give my heart a better chance. They called my wife and I through the weekend to ensure I was still ok and had my treatments going forward well planned out. Over the course of the next two years, they continued to be very proactive in my recovery and always made me feel like a top priority even as their practice continued to grow. It is only because my family moved that I no longer go to their offices. Speaking of their offices, it would not be fair to NOT mention their incredible staff. Their nurses and receptionists were always incredibly kind, patient and knowledgeable. Due to my condition and line of work, I needed alot of documentation and the staff was incredibly fast and thorough in providing everything I asked of them. I truly believe I owe the entire staff of NYCMC more gratitude than I could ever show them. I no doubt am alive today because of them.

Horrible.. they like to do everything by text. They tell you they check it many times during the day but never get back to you. They scheduled an appointment for 6:30 pm on Tuesday, called me Tuesday morning and asked me to reschedule. I rescheduled for 5:45 the next Tuesday. They called 3 hours later and said your appointment for tonight is cancelled. I said I know I already rescheduled for 5:45 next week her response was they only have hours until 1 pm. I said I wasn't interested. After a call from the office manager I rescheduled for 7:30 a.m. . I checked in sat for 15 minutes and was told they were going to cancel me again because they were too busy. They also scheduled me for a stress test when I got there they knew nothing about it . The office manager called and said she was sorry and that I was in fact supposed to get a stress test so I had to go back. They sent me for blood work ,after getting the blood work back they said I was missing blood work and that the lab "missed" it. I normally would never write this review. But after complaining through text message and waiting two days for an apology or any response and never getting one I decided enough was enough. If you're looking for a practice that treats you like you're health is actually important look elsewhere.
