Its so unfortunate that Dr. Sukra and Dr. Karagiannis are leaving, but I totally understand why. We have been with Dr. K since our son was born when she was at the White Plains office with Dr. Sukra. The front desk was so kind and helpful and of course we love us some Dr. K! However since the office has moved to the Scarsdale location, the front desk staff is HORRENDOUS.I have had more than one unpleasant experience with them but today topped it for me. I needed a medical form for my sons daycare and the woman at the front desk had a nasty attitude from the start. I was told it would take 2-5 days, but when I expressed I needed it sooner than that I was met with more attitude. Her coworker chimed in that they could have a generic computer-generated one done but the woman who I was dealing with stopped to say no, another parent tried that and their daycare denied it. I would gladly have taken the computer-generated one had it been offered immediately instead of having this awkward exchange. I was told to have a seat and we proceeded to have my sons appt. When we came out of the appt I sat waiting for the computer-generated paperwork and when it was ready I was met with the same unpleasant woman who just handed it to me without a goodbye. As I left I noticed that it said my son takes regular medication which is not the case. I went back to the office to have this corrected. I chose to speak to someone else that was at the front because the unpleasant woman was on the phone. However when she saw me explaining the situation to the other woman she jumped in to say thats how the computer does it. As I said thats why we like to do the physical one. Excuse me? As I said? Youre telling me you told me that the computer generated paperwork may produce some incorrect information? So I said to her my son doesnt take regular medication. She says its the hydrocortisone he was prescribed. I said thats a cream and he doesnt use it regularly. She responds its because the hydrocortisone is as needed. I responded as needed and regularly are not the same thing. Her male coworker again tried to chime in, clearly trying to assist her but there was nothing left to be said. I just needed the paperwork to reflect my sons actual medical history for school. She responded I can white it out. She whited it out and HAD to let out a deep sigh in the process. I returned the sigh with a sigh of my own. The solution was for you to white it outso why couldnt you just do that? What was the lesson you were trying to teach me? Just do your job. Nothing irks me more than someone who hates their job and takes it out on the patients/customers who come there. Were not there to see you and we didnt come in hostile. I cant wait to find out where Dr. Sukra and Dr. K relocate to because we will be there in a HEARTBEAT.
