Leading Edge Oral Surgery Sayville

One of their receptionists was rude to me. I had a follow-up appointment with Dr Bast and she gave an attitude after she couldn't find anything in the system. I had to repeat myself multiple times. It might have been a system error but that's not a reason why she would be rude to people. Rest of the crew are polite and professional.

I recently finished four procedures with Dr. Bast for a tooth implant. Even though dental procedures in and of themselves are not pleasant, I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Bast, his staff and this office. Everyone is kind, pleasant and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions and I always felt safe in their hands. The office is run with precision, and the appointments were timely. I highly recommend Dr. Bast and this office.

Dr Blast removed a tooth for an implant. Felt no pain and recovery has been smooth. Thankful to have a true professional!

Despite the good reviews, I got such a bad vibe here that after my consult, I opted to look for another dentist. At the time of my appointment at Leading Edge, I was told that the exam was covered by insurance but the radiographic scan would be $158. I paid for the service and met with the dentist to discuss my options for treatment. Unfortunately, I got the distinct impression he was trying to pad his bill rather than professionally address my problem (cracked tooth). These suspicions were confirmed when I compared his estimate to the estimate and service provided by the dentist I ultimately chose. Even with their good practice reviews, Leading Edge has several dentists who have very mediocre ratings online. So, Im not sure how those two realities coexist. My dentist there, who I will not name, currently has a 3.3 on Google. As a footnote to this story, I just received a bill from Leading Edge for the original exam which they previously informed me was covered by insurance! Enough said!

It was an amazing experience. I never thought I would say that about oral surgery. There is no wait time. You make an appointment and they are ready for you. So efficient. The tooth extraction (back wisdom tooth and later a crown with infection under) was painless. Even the following days, the only thing needed was the ibuprofen they prescribed. I recommend this practice to everyone. They are the best!
