    Excellent customer service. Jacob Geller has a thorough knowledge on property taxes of homes and on County tax matters. I would recommend him to anyone who has doubts on property taxes, grievances, and so on. And I have been with TCA since 2019. The firm puts a good fight against rising property taxes!

    I had a very bad experience with this group. All I can suggest is make sure you read the very fine print in their contract if you opt to engage their services. Hopefully, by the owners response, you can see what kind of firm this is. There are a lot of good firms out there but this is not one of them. In my opinion, stay away from them. After all this, I still get letters from them asking me to sign with them again. No chance.

    Rates are too high, poor customer service and I've been trying to pay my bill for over a month. No one wants to take my payment. Let this be proof that I'm trying but all the incompetent employees refuse to answer the phone or call back.

Hi Robert,You signed up with us five years in a row, between 2014 and 2019. We were successful four of those five years, saving you at least a combined $7,735 (more, actually, when multiyear savings are taken into account). For this, we billed you a combined $3,094.Of that $3,094, you never paid a single penny on time. Your quickest payment was $479, paid in 2018, and it was three months past due. Your $1,560 bill for the first grievance we won, which saved you $3,900, was not paid for more than four years. We sent it in May 2017, you paid it in October 2021.By November 2021, you had still not paid $1,055 of what we'd billed. This was pursuant to two bills, sent in March 2019 and July 2020. You had taken advantage of us, saving many thousands of dollars on your school and general levy property taxes without paying our bills for service. We hadn't charged you any late fees or interest. We hadn't reported you to a credit rating agency. We did refer these two bills to a civil collection attorney, yet even then the bills remained in the same amounts due as original and your credit score remained unaffected.You did eventually pay (most of) these bills. For the 2018/19 bill, in the amount of $514, you paid $500 in November 2022, more than three years late. For the 2019/20 bill, in the amount of $541, you paid $500 in July 2023, three years and ten days late. To this day, $55 are owed on these two bills, but we are not taking any steps to collect it.I struggle to imagine what exactly you find so vexing about our contract. The font is in Times New Roman, size 12. It's perfectly legible. There is no fine print. The whole contract is less than one (1) page long. We render a service, you pay a fee, both are specified. It's very simple. You signed this contract five times, and paid zero of the resulting bills on time, despite numerous past due notices, all of which were also perfectly legible.Before you signed up with us (the 2015/16 assessment year), your school taxes were $14,121.29. The last year we won for you (the 2018/19 tax year), your school taxes were $11,786.20. In the time since you left us, you've signed up with Maidenbaum three years in a row, and your most recent school tax bill (for 2023/24) is $15,631.24, higher than when you started with us a decade ago. We hope you're happy.Maidenubam's contract is essentially identical to ours, by the way, except that their fee is 50% at ARC, not 40%. If you're having a very bad experience with them, consider paying their bills when they are due. It's important, and aside from that it's the right thing to do.

Hi Rene,You owed $429 as of May 25, 2023. You called and left four voicemail messages in the span of 61 minutes on August 29, 66 days after the bill was due. In between the first and second voicemails, you wrote a menacing email threatening "many, many poor reviews." You also left a one-star review on Google, again at the same time as the email.We returned your voicemails, as we return all voicemails, and your email, by phone. You paid $50 on August 8, another $50 on August 24, and then a third and final payment of $250 on August 29. We discounted the rest of the bill, effectively handing you $79 for no good reason, in a futile attempt to make you happy.We saved you $1,072 on your 2022/23 school and general levy property taxes. You enjoyed most of the savings before receiving our bill. Once you received our bill, you went on a tear more than three months later on Google, the phone, and email. We never applied any late fees or interest, we never took you collections, we never reported you to a credit rating agency. We did agree to a partial payment plan immediately, allowing you to pay in $50 weekly installments as requested. We did let it slide when those payments turned out not to be quite weekly. We did comp you $79 for no good reason. You're welcome.As for our fees, we charge 40% of the savings won at the Assessment Review Commission (ARC). Most other representatives charge 50%. Few charge less than 50%, very few less than 40%, and exceptions are typically a one-year promotional fee after which they yank you up to their usual 50%. So when you say, "Rates are too high," it's flatly false. We can't know for sure, but our suspicion is that you think they're high not because they are, but because of whatever financial issues caused you to request a payment plan months after the bill was due.As for the phones, it's true that we didn't answer your four calls in the span of 61 minutes on the morning of August 2nd. It's an unavoidable fact of operating any small business that sometimes we are already on the phone with another client, or otherwise preoccupied with serving clients somehow, and cannot immediately answer the phone 100% of the time. We are not a call center, nor do we employ one. We are a small office, and we do our best to answer every call. Furthermore, clients tend to all call at once, often in response to the same causes. This is why we have, and use, and respond to, a voice mailbox. That certain clients, like yourself, abuse that voice mailbox, only makes this problem worse, as we actually do have to listen to all four (4) of your voicemails, and read your email, and respond to your one-star Google review.Our feeling, as we noted on your file back in August, was that you "get worked up easily." Frankly, nobody here wanted you as a client after that, and we have gladly refrained from soliciting any further business from you accordingly. You're welcome for that, too.
