Absolutely the best dermatologist in the state of New York. Solved my lingering rash problem completely with calculated steps of treatment after years of frustration and no help doctors. Just today fixed my daughter's thumb nail problem after 3 NYC dermatologists failed over 3 months. Dr. Spillane is my favorite doctor EVER and he loves what he does. Highly recommended!!!

Was a patient for many years, even met one of my best childhood friends while waiting in his office. I moved back to the area and scheduled an appointment but words cannot describe how horrible my experience was. I had a change in insurance that they did not accept and was going to pay out of pocket. Firstly receptionists were very rude and felt they were above me due to not having approved coverage, secondly they made me pay a huge sum upfront before even consulting the doctor. Thirdly they somehow thought I was going to run away from my appointment like a child or something and fourthly I had a companion with me who assisted with payment and they made them wait for me on a different floor and made go down to the different floor and retrieve payment before even seeing the doctor. I felt like they were treating me like some sort of child, they were belittling me and did not treat me with dignity, making me a spectacle for their sadist amusement. Never in my life have I been treated so badly during an appointment, I walked right out and would never set foot in this office again due to how inept these receptionists are attempting proper patient interaction.
