Josh at Westwood is by far the best accountant I've ever had. He's been at it for quite some time, and is very obviously a master at his profession. I'm self-employed, and some years ago I was looking for a tax expert who could explain things to me about taxes in relation to my very small business, when a freelance musician client of mine started singing Josh's praises to me one day; I met with Josh and he was super informative and patient with me, and he's been my accountant ever since. He's pointed some things out that I've done wrong with my past tax filings, and has righted those wrongs and actually saved me some money. He's helped me at length with figuring out my itemizations and deductions--by far my least favorite part of doing my taxes. He's very quick and efficient, too--I've never had to wait more than 24 hours to hear back from him in regard to any of my questions (and usually it's just a matter of hours before I hear back from him). All of that, and he's very reasonably priced for the excellent quality of service that he provides. If you want an honest, patient, kind and incredibly helpful accountant (who's funny, too!), Josh is your guy. I've told many clients and friends about him, and everyone who has hired him tells me how much they adore him as an accountant and as a person. Seriously, Josh is the best!

Josh is really one-of-a-kind. I feel so lucky that he was recommended to us and we've been using him as our accountant for almost a decade. He is so smart and kind (and funny!), and is extremely responsive. Josh is a super smart guy and explains everything very clearly, which must be hard with all the accounting nuances but he somehow manages. Many thumbs up!

After searching for a good tax professional, I came across Josh at Westwood tax. He seemed knowledgeable on the phone but now that I think of it he sounded very "salesly". After doing taxes with him, the experience was terrible. He missed a lot of information and I had to proactively ask him if he considered this vs. that. He charges way too much for sub par service. You are better off going with a basic online tax service than using him. Avoid him at all costs.

I can't recommend Josh at Westwood Tax highly enough (literally, I've converted all my friends)! In the four years I've been seeing him, I've gone from from not even understanding how taxes work (KIDDING I still don't understand) to running my own LLC. He is prompt, has the patience of a saint (seriously, you should see some of the emails I've sent this man), and is skilled at breaking down complex and horrifically boring concepts into bite-size, bimbo explanations. As a freelancer who works in different locations, I rely on Josh's attention to detail. Filing with Westwood, I'm totally confident I'm only paying the taxes I owe. Josh is the kind of accountant any boss bitch (especially a bimbo boss bitch) needs in her court. I honestly don't know what I would do without him, but it probably wouldn't be filing taxes. Do yourself a favor and hire the best!

I can honestly say that I look forward to tax season because Josh is my accountant. He is very good at letting me know what documentation to provide for tax season, and gets back to me in a timely manner (responds to emails very quickly!). Josh picked me up as a last minute client in April of 2019 (a week before taxes were due), when I was told my accountant of several years was no longer doing taxes. Since completing my 2018 taxes, he help me set up my LLC, breakdown my C-Corp, and apply for PPP loans. In March of 2020, Josh + his office sent out an email on a Saturday to all clients to go over what was covered under the CARES act- who was eligible for unemployment benefits, what loans were available for small businesses. I forwarded this email to my friends and they also found this information very helpful- their accountants didn't do this for them. It says a lot about what Josh and his team does for his clients. Josh and his team are much more than just "tax accountants"!
