Emily H. needs to be fired. She claimed everything was covered and now I owe $500 because all of a sudden the "insurance" wasn't accepted and not one person bothered to tell us UNTIL an appointment..

Edited to respond to owner: I actually already tried to share my concerns with you but never heard back. I would never leave a negative review for a small business unless I felt it was warranted. This was not a great experience. We've never cancelled last minute, had been understanding and flexiblewith your business when billing and scheduling issues occurred- and never said anything when on several occasionssessions were ended up to 20 minutes early. However, when we had to unexpectedly cancel due to illness, the same empathy and understandingwas not shared. I fully understand why you might have a cancellation policy in place and this is less about the money, but about the way it was handled. On top of already questioningthe effectivenessof the therapistwe'd been working with, this really just sealed the deal for us to discontinue working with you. Further, your own policy states:Of course we remain flexible around illness and unforeseen circumstances, but no one was able to explain what that meant or why that was not extended towards us. The last thing I would say, is that its really in poor taste to have a therapist reach out to let me know she'd be charging a late fee. At the end of the day, I was not charged as after all this- we were offered a zoom session, which for a sick kid, was not ideal but we just accepted it out of frustration.
