The price did not match the value this seems to be missing its employees. A one night stay with two beds was $158. The day before we stayed at an Econo Lodge in Virginia that was only $78 for the same deal, and it had hot breakfast. We had hoped to stay at the Comfort Inn close to this hotel, but by no surprise it was full.
Of the worrying issues was the complete absence of employees in the building. When I looked at my bank statement it revealed the Comfort Inn billed me, not Clarion Pointe. I would have to believe that the employees are coming from the Comfort Inn, that is why you have to call an outside number to get anyone to help. The employees are well trained to not reveal this bit of information, but because of the abnormally long time it takes for an employee to show up this makes perfect sense.
The funny thing is there is a profusion of fruit in the lobby at all times. I am betting this is a strategy to make you feel like you arent being hoodwinked by the owners, and to keep you distracted while the needed employee comes from the other hotel. Aside from that the room we stayed in was less than expected for the price. There is a giant mural on the wall that did not add to the ambiance, but I do agree that the hard floors for the first floor rooms were nice.

Walkability: Many places to go to within walking distance. A new Chipotle was going in next door.
Food & drinks: Close to lots of restaurants.

Owner was very nice. We wanted something close to Blue Cross Arena. In from Buffalo. Nice value hotel. Clean.
Rooms: Clean and basic.

I had to cancel my reservation due to a quite unfortunate and unexpected situation. The Hotel frontdesk (Nov 19 2023, 5PM) was very caring, helpful, and understanding, and did everything they could to help me out. I really appreciate their support, and I will surely choose Clarion Pointe next time I go to Rochester.
