Staff was rude and unhelpful. Came into town to find a place while my husband works for UR medical. Had a short window but the staff over the phone and e-mail kept referring me to the website and refused to answer any questions. Just go to our website I cant imagine living at a facility where they treat perspective residents like this. This management already gives red flags!

Current resident. 1. They increase rent by $100 each year, so beware of that. 2. They continue to leave "notes" and reminders on each apartment door, about things like the smoking policy, effectively advertising to all the neighbors on your floor when you're out of town. I have asked the office repeatedly to not leave notes, and they have ignored me. Greystone basically gives all of the other residents in my building a neon sign to rob my apartment with this tactic. I feel extremely unsafe and uncomfortable because of this. 3. They expect you to move your car by 9 am when it snows, or they threaten to tow your car. Also a problem for people who travel for work. To get around this, you can pay $40 a month for a covered car space. 4. They email with 1 days notice when they are going to pave or paint certain parking lots, and your car better be out of the way. (Also a problem for people who travel for work.) 5. There is 1 trash room that accepts recycling now because they couldn't keep up with all of it. There used to be recycling in every trash room but I guess we are saving money despite the yearly rent increase. 6. Not once in 2 years has anyone vacuumed or cleaned the halls. An elephant moved in on the second floor and tore a good 3-inch by 3-foot hole in the paint and it's been chillin like that for 9 months.

I had a tour appointment to see the house. Even though I got a reminder email from Greystone, the office was closed. I drove 5 hours from New Jersey to Rochester, and back to New Jersey without seeing houses. They are irresponsible.

I have lived at Greystone for 3 years. Nice and safe location. My 1 bedroom apartment was outdated. Maintenance was very sluggish. Isolation was not good so in very cold winters, i froze and the heater couldn't' keep up with the weather. I had leak from the ceiling in the bathroom 3 times and each time it was partially fixed. The work was never completed. Overall i rate it 3/5 for the price.
