        My son loved his therapists specially Miss Karen to the point that he still mentions her months after. Great environment and staff.

        Overall not a good experience. The special educator that observed my son, Lisa, told me some information about him that is considered developmentally appropriate and acted like it was a concern. She also told me what she observed and then the opposite was conveyed at the cpse meeting; his own teacher disagreed as well. I was called by both the speech pathologist and psychologist to see if I wanted to come back for another eval when I initially said no because it wasnt necessary - It felt as if they wanted to bill twice. Which seems very Suffolk-Speechy to me. Also, the environment is not conducive for therapy. The blinds are open and it is right on a traffic circle, its loud and distracting for all children regardless of neurological development. The therapists are nice, but overall I would not recommend

      Ms. Pesce - thank you for sharing your concerns. We have found that children sometimes become overwhelmed or stressed during an evaluation and react in a way that is not typical for them. In this situation, we usually recommend stopping the evaluation and suggest that they return at a later date to complete the evaluation process. If we do suggest having the child come back to resume the evaluation, there is no additional cost. We offer this option to ensure that every child has the opportunity to maximize their potential and that can only be done if an accurate evaluation has been performed. Additionally, please know that all of our locations have met the rigorous standards of the New York State Education Department and we continue to strive to provide an environment that fosters learning and growth.
