PHS is a lovely Waldorf school with caring teachers, small classes, and a wonderful community committed to supporting the whole child. My kids are both thriving after having been home with me for a year and a half during the pandemic and a big move upstate. PHS has helped them adjust more than I could've hoped. We are very grateful for this experience.

Love this school and the community. My son started here at summer camp 2 years ago when he was aged 3, went to the Preschool at age 4, and is now in the Kindergarten class at age 5. The nurturing he receives from the teachers is very caring and holistic. They are interested in learning not just about my child, but about his family and his environment outside of the school. In a world where electronics are so prevalent and societal problems like bullying exist, I am thrilled that he is spending these integral years of his life immersed in nature and being fostered in an environment where daily activities like baking bread, making soup, gardening, and taking care of animals are done together and enojyed as a group. He is encouraged to collaborate with his classmates and to express his creativity. I never give a moment's notice or worry about him when he is at school . I know he is being well-cared for and I can see for myself how happy he is and blossoming in this environment. As a parent, there is nothing more important.

Our family is so happy to be part of such an amazing school. Both my children (1st grade & 4th grade) look forward to a going to school everyday. They get to experience things I never thought would be possible in a school environment. The community within the school is welcoming and I would highly recommend Primrose Hill School.

We have two daughters at Primrose Hill, one in Pre-K and one in the parent-child program. This school has been the greatest thing that has happened to us since we moved here from Oregon 3 years ago. The children get to spend most of the day outside, learning about plants, working with their hands in the dirt, helping to take care of the farm animals, taking little hikes in the nearby woods adjacent to the school property. The teachers are unbelievably dedicated to the kids - they observe each one and pay attention to what each one needs. They teach the children how to make bread, to chop vegetables and every day the children share a meal that they have made together. I have occasionally sat in on a class so that I can learn how to be a better parent - I have learned how to give positive reinforcement, and I soak in the quiet safe beauty that the school has created in each classroom. It is a pure pleasure to be able to send my children here and I salute the founders for their vision, care, and perseverance in making this dream of an education available to this area. Thank you!
