Glens Falls Center

If I could get zero I would. My mom was sent here by her orthopedic to get physical rehab for her back. When she arrived she was in great health other than her back. Great Labs. A few weeks here she developed a cough, after numerous requests to please have her examine by their doctor, I was repeatedly ignored along with my mom being medically neglected. After 2 weeks of having a horrible cough, the center finally had their doctor's check her out. 14 days of coughing, I'm begging them to check her out. At this point her organs were all failing, she was rushed to Glens Falls hospital. ER admitting Dr. Said said " your moms kidneys have failed, while her organs are failing, She has a respiratory infection, bronchitis, and pneumonia. All of this could have been prevented with one simple antibiotic". My mom had to go on immediate dialysis, and 10 days later she died. Both the administrator, and the head nurse called to apologize to me. Apologies not accepted for negligence causing my mom's death.

As a previous employee I know for a fact this facility does not care for the quality of care for the residents and as an employee they really don't care to make sure they adequately pay you or make sure your fully staff to properly care for the residents as of right now the HR personnel has willingly and purposefully with held my pay because I have chosen to stop working there.

Not happy at all with this place. My husband is at Glens Falls Center in Queensbury, NY. Staff is very nice and ladies at front door are awesome but that is about it. My husband recently was sent to the emergency room and I was NEVER Notified by their staff. I got a phone call from a doctor in the emergency room about 5 hours later with questions for me. I was shocked and angry because no one had the decency to let me know he was sent there. I have called a few times and left messages and never get calls back, always excuses! Not only that, they can not follow directions, I have told them NUMEROUS times I want to do his laundry, they keep throwing it in with the rest of the clients. Then they return it and throw it into his cabinet without folding it. He has trouble feeding himself and no one helps him. I come in and food is everywhere, plates and bowls in his lap. His feet are a mess, no one bothers to wash them or put lotion on them. His head has terrible dandruff like newborn babies get. Their meals look terrible, always left overs from the day before, hard vegetables that they can not chew. Filthy fingernails. Need I go on? I DO NOT recommend this place at all!!! If I could give it a minus review I would.

Can I write a Negative star review?? My mother was in this facility with a broken hip, in the 3 weeks my mother was there...she was given 2 showers. Thats it! The care was extremely poor. The staff was uncaring and rude. My mothers tv did not work the entire time she was there. I personally would not recommend this facility.
