        The place they had ready for us was full of cat urine smell, the closets and drawers had stuff left in them including loose pet food. The toilet seat was black, and it was filthy. Seriously could not believe you could even try renting an apartment in that shape. I was waiting for someone to punch me and wake me up...

      Sorry you were disappointed. All apartments should be cleaned prior to moving in. Sometimes, in the fall, when it gets very busy with people moving in and out we don't get a chance to finish cleaning before we show an apartment. We try to avoid that but, occasionally , that is all that is left to show at that time. Rest assured it would be cleaned prior to you moving in and you would be permitted to inspect the apartment first before moving in.
