I cannot believe that I have not done a review of this urgent care in such a long time. I have been there so many times with my kids its like a second home to me. These people are very nice very cooperative and certainly this location is very useful to me because it is very close to my house. There is a PA here who actually diagnosed my son with pneumonia when one of the other doctors missed it his name is Dimitri very nice very gentle person. God bless him. Sometimes the people are reception could be difficult, but thats just somebody having a bad day

I wish I could give zero stars. I was assaulted on a NYC subway and had a cut on my elbow. It didnt look bad but it was oozing and when it changed color I thought it was infected. I went to Plainview UC because there was no wait time. I saw Dr. Israel Gonzalez. He looked out my elbow and asked me why I thought it was bubbling and if I had ever had anything that color coming from my body. He told me I had MRSA, prescribed an antibiotic that worked on MRSA and sent me on my way. He never swabbed to find out what the infection was. When I got home, he called me to return because he realized that he should have taken an X-ray. I went back and he told me I had gaseous gangrene which was limb and life threatening and was calling an ambulance to take me to Plainview Hospital. I refused an ambulance and left assuring him Id go to an ER. I went straight to Glen Cove Hospital and was admitted within 5 minutes, saw a doctor within minutes. She looked at the cut on my elbow and laughed at the diagnosis. She said you have a cut and said air entered my arm and thats what Dr. Gonzalez saw on the X-ray. She said Id know if it was gaseous gangrene because I would not have been able to stand the smell. I was given a tetanus shot and w e were out of ER in less than 1/2 hour. Dr. Gonzalez called to make sure I was went to ER was shocked that I was on my way home. I told him the ER doctor said it was barely infected around the edges and had added a second antibiotic since I said Id already had gotten a text that the first was ready. He told me he cancelled his prescription. I requested that he call it back in. He never did and I took an hour to get in touch with the ER doctor so she could prescribe it. Three weeks later, he calls to find out how Im doing. I tried to tell him he diagnosis was incorrect and he put me on hold so I got music. I hung up, called back and he didnt let me talk. He spoke real fast that he only called to find out how I was, didnt give me a word in edgewise and hung up on me. This man does not deserve to be called doctor.

Called ahead to see if they still took my insurance after not being there for a while and was assured they still do and my co pay was the same. They charged me the appropriate co pay for the two visits needed for treatment to get better. Great. A week goes by and I get a bill for $100..so I call asking why. Your co pay was not the same as before, it went up, you should have called to check. Ummmm, I did. They lied about checking and just went by a two year old past visit not just once but twice..then blamed ME for not checking. My co pay only went up at Optum. Thats it. Just them..and they didnt know about it? Dont believe them. Bad business practices, their information cannot be trusted, and double the co pay of anyone else. Go elsewhere.
