image I'm not sure where to begin. From the moment I called, I didn't have a great feeling. I asked for an appointment for routine maintenance on 2 furnaces and 2 a/c units at our home. One of the a/c units wasn't working all of the sudden, so I wanted them to take a look at it. From the time I called, we were booked almost 5 weeks out, other places had a less wait time (by a few weeks) but the home's previous owners used this company every year, so we figured they knew the systems and it made sense to wait for them.
When the gentleman arrives, he's not explaining anything that is wrong until the end (when asking to sign for the amounts being invoiced). I received an invoice for $840. Mind you, this was for routine maintenance on the systems (with only 1 unit having a filter replaced). Then, we were charged for the broken part in the a/c unit. Again, seems steep for the overall price but okay. The man leaves with it running and fine. Great.
Within 36 hours, the a/c unit dies again and began smoking. I called Advanced and get a gentleman that says he will send the original tech back out a few days later to check on it. He comes back and says we now have an electrical panel problem (that we didn't seem to have two days prior). He says we need an electrician and nothing he can do. So, the a/c unit is shut off and not turned back on.
A few days later, we have a small house fire related to that same electrical panel. Now, we may need to replace various spots of wiring in the home and most of the panel.
Are these things directly connected? I'm not sure. We've lived here for two years and had no electrical issues on that side of our home and no other signs of issues with the electrical panel.
Then, I asked about the bill considering the issue isn't fixed anyways. Needless to say, I'm stuck paying that full bill. I have a broken a/c unit, now a broken electrical panel apparently, and several emails from Advanced that contain continuous copies of this invoice, asking us to pay the bill.
They may not be related entirely or directly, but it would be VERY coincidental. I didn't give you a 1 star because of the unit or even the fire. That was probably somewhere around 2-3 stars, however... the calls implying that "it's just that kind of panel" mixed with constant pressure to just pay the bill... even when a fire broke out within a week of you all being here... just shows me the kind of business you are. No efforts to actually fix it, just to prove you're right so we will pay you.
*Note: The full bill is paid as I never had any intention of not paying for their time and services.
*I'd go with someone else for your HVAC needs.
*** UPDATE***
You will see the companys response below my review. Heres my response to that.
First, this is NOT a rental property. Thanks for paying attention. This is our home and we have quite a few children. We also have two furnaces and two central air a/c units. They serviced the two furnaces and the other ac unit, prior to addressing the non-working ac unit.
Second, blaming this on our outdated panel. Ok? Then tell me that prior to fixing the ac unit. Charge me $250 to fix the unit, knowing there was an issue with the electrical? Regardless, we have since updated both of our electrical panels ($5000 later) with all new breakers, panel itself and more amps than before. Guess what still doesnt work?! The stupid ac unit. So, please blame this on us and our panel. :-) I only wrote the review because of the customer service (lack there of) and blame game it seemed you played prior to the review. We just want out ac to work and thought you guys were the best option since the previous owners used you all for more than a decade. Thanks. Services: HVAC system maintenance, A/C system maintenance, A/C system repair

Ms. Sharkey,I would be happy to meet you at your rental property to go over what is and has been going on with your equipment. After our men repaired your air conditioner, they found problems with your electrical panel box and informed the office properly. Because this is rental property and you were not there to discuss the problem we found, we needed to leave the system off until we could connect with you. The problem is a common issue with this type of Federal Pacific breaker panel with Stab-Lok circuit breakers. The article in this URL, below, explains the problem: https://www.angi.com/articles/are-federal-pacific-circuit-breaker-panels-safe.htm • Federal Pacific Electric (FPE) circuit breaker panels with Stab-Lok® circuit breakers are at risk for breaker malfunction and fire.• Older homes built between 1950 and 1990 may have FPE circuit breakers.• Homeowners should replace any Federal Pacific panels with new, up-to-date circuit breakers. We are ready and willing to help you with this fix. Please call, or email us, and we will help you through this.Thank you,Michael Pudetti
