Cleanest Chinese takeout joint i've ever been too - almost spotless inside. Food has great flavor, always arrives hot, egg rolls and spring rolls have good crisp. Fair portion sizes. Very friendly owners and staff. Not sure why this place always gets a bad wrap. I have never had any issues. (Chicken broccoli combo and spring rolls pictured)

My recent experience with Food Chow City left much to be desired. I ordered vegetable lo mein for delivery, only to find chicken pieces in it upon arrival (see attached photo). Understandably, I called to resolve the issue, hoping for a simple solution like previous experiences. However, I was surprised to be instructed to keep and discard the incorrect order, and then asked to visit the store for a replacement, sans chicken. When I politely inquired about a refund for the lo mein, I was informed of a rigid policy requiring returned food for a refund, despite initially being told I could discard it. This inconsistency, coupled with the inconvenience of returning a delivery order, left me puzzled and frustrated. Despite this, I must acknowledge the kindness of the person who answered the phone. Additionally, while today's experience fell short, it's important to note that Food Chow City's food is typically great. As a loyal customer with previous satisfactory resolutions to order issues, this encounter felt like a departure from the usual standard of service. While I appreciate efforts to rectify mistakes, the lack of flexibility and conflicting instructions marred what should have been a straightforward resolution.
